Wade spent six years in the US and graduated from from Bowling Green State University with a degree in Finance, Honours ’11 and an MBA, Graduate Assistant (GA) ’13; he earned a scholarship for the Division 1 hockey program. He was academically recognized on the Dean’s list (CPGA) for four straight undergrad years. A Teaching Assistant in the College of Management Studies (CMS) throughout the tenure of his MBA at BGSU, Wade earned an additional full-academic scholarship, working in College of Management. He extended his background through completion of the Executive Master of Finance (MFin) program at Queen’s Smith School of Business while concurrently working full-time as an Intern Analyst, then Associate, at Scotia GBM (Capital Markets), then to Scotia McLeod. He has been with CI Private Wealth (formerly Stonegate Private Counsel) for the better part of a decade, now holding title as Director, Investment Management. He furthermore holds the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) designation and is Insurance Licensed (LLQP).
After graduating, he was a part of College Hockey Experience (CHX), a company founded by two former BG Hockey Alums, taking 14 to 15-year-old ‘AAA’ players down to various D1 schools. He’s furthermore an Ambassador within the St. Joseph’s, Young Professionals Group in support of the hospital’s Mental Health Unit.
Wade’s interests include anything cottaging, golfing (a member at St. George’s G&CC in Etobicoke, Canadian Open 2022), travelling whenever possible, snowboarding/wakeboarding, and his dog Jake.
